Over this past weekend Jim Strandlund our Town of Round Lake Sideboard member sent me some nice comments that were told to him by a family from Southern Wisconsin. This family was staying in rental cabin owned by Jim Strandlund. Jim said that this was the family’s first time coming to Moose Lake and they really enjoyed the hospitality of the area. They commented on how wonderful Louie’s Landing and the Moose Lake Shack food and beverages were. During their 4-day visit they were fishing for Muskies and Bass. They were able to catch and release 9 Muskies, 1 Northern and 0 Bass. The biggest Musky was just over 40” and they had a blast. They also said they left over $200 worth of tackle hung up on the wonderful structure beneath the lake.

Moose Lake does have many places where you can donate musky baits and other tackle. Stories like this I love to hear. The most important thing is to help visitors enjoy themselves while they are here. Many people who live on Moose Lake now, were visitors at one time just like these people.
